● The delivery service in the country of destination contacts the Recipient by email.
● If the Recipient has not responded to the message and/or the delivery has not made due to incorrect data of the Recipient, the parcel can be returned to the Recipient in Ukraine, or it is also possible to clarify the details and send it for redelivery.

Yes, we have made the necessary changes to the <a style="color: #d61c1c;" href="https://novaposhta.ua/uploads/misc/doc/forbidden_goods_uk.pdf">list of exclusions</a> for transportation. Thus, during martial law, you will be able to send important documents abroad, which could not be taken during evacuation.

Is it possible to send a birth certificate and other identification documents abroad?

Create a parcel in the Personal account in advance, or drop off a package directly at the service point.

How to use the international delivery service?

In most European countries, international shipments sent between individuals with a value of up to EUR 44, including those marked  as gifts or personal belongings, are not subject to customs duty or VAT. But additional customs or tax charges are possible if the customs services of the destination country assess that the value of the contents of the parcel exceeds 44 EUR; will reveal a discrepancy between the actual content and the description of the content in the declaration. Customs will detain the parcel if it contains prohibited goods. In case of violation, the parcel may be disposed of, returned to the sender, or customs fees,  will be charged  etc.

Will recipients pay anything when receiving shipments in European countries?

In order to agree on the delivery time of the package abroad, the courier will call the recipient, so it is very important that the recipient can answer their call. If there is no communication with the recipient, the package may be delivered late or not delivered at all.

Why should the Recipient’s Ukrainian phone number not be specified?

Use the Global Delivery product.

Which product should I use to send things that are not personal?

The full list of goods prohibited for transportation is available <a style="color: #db1a1a;" href="https://novaposhta.ua/uploads/misc/doc/forbidden_goods_uk.pdf">by the link</a>. 
The most popular items include: food, medicine and dietary supplements, money, tobacco products, alcohol, combustible materials, perfumes.

What are the restrictions on sending parcels abroad?

Yes, shipments are insured for the value stated in the declaration. If you wish, you can additionally insure the parcel for a higher amount by paying a 3% commission to Nova Poshta Global. Therefore, if the package is damaged or lost, we will reimburse the customer who paid for the delivery, the amount of the declared value and the insurance amount.
But customs officials may seize the parcel without compensation, or return it to Ukraine, or charge customs fees, etc., under any of the following conditions:
<ul>
<li>if the declared value does not correspond to the real value of the parcel,</li>
<li>if a commercial lot is detected (more than 5 identical products),</li>
</ul>
• if the parcel contains prohibited goods.

How to calculate the shipping cost?

The courier will deliver the package to the addressee&#8217;s door.

How is delivery abroad performed?

The volume weight of the parcel is indicated in kilograms and is calculated according to the formula: 
Length [cm] x Width [cm] x Height [cm] / 5,000.

How is the volumetric weight calculated for an international shipment?

The declared value must be equal to the real (market) value of the shipment.

How to evaluate an international parcel?

The notification about the parcel can be sent to the recipient by email, text message or Viber. In case of the need to pay customs charges and if any other issues related to the shipment arise, the information will be sent to the recipient&#8217;s email.

Why specify the recipient's email?

Shipments to the address of a natural person are issued to any adult who can receive the package at the address indicated in the waybill without document verification.

Does the Recipient have to show their ID to get the parcel?

Packages should be handed in open so that the operator can check the contents and make the shipment description. If the parcel is wrapped up, the operator has the right to open the parcel. The exception is factory packaging.

How do I need to hand over shipments to Nova Poshta Global employees?

Usually, before the shipment is delivered, the recipient is contacted by the delivery service in the destination country by phone. But conditions may differ in each country. In some cases, the shipment may be delivered without additional delivery notification.

Who and how contacts the recipient when the parcel is delivered?

Customs fees are paid only by the recipient abroad. The customs service will inform them about the need to pay, the amount to be paid, and other details by email.

Who pays customs fees and how?

We launched the product Parcel from home in response to the need of Ukrainians who were forced to leave the territory of the EU due to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. It is cheaper to send a parcel using the Parcel from Home product than Global Delivery, but this product only applies to sending used personal items without labels or seals to one of the EU countries.
In addition, the Parcel from home product implies shipping by ground, and therefore it takes longer. For Global Delivery we use air transport.

What is the difference between Global Delivery and Parcel from Home?

Yes, the total weight of the parcel (actual or volumetric) can be 70 kg maximum, and the dimensions should not exceed 120x80x69 cm. You can also send only personal items with an estimated value of up to EUR 44.

Does the Parcel from Home product have any limitations?

Today, the international service can be used at Nova Poshta service points in all Ukrainian cities. Please note that certain service points may have restrictions on the allowable weight of shipments, so check the list of service points in advance.

The period of free storage of shipments in a branch in Ukraine is 24 calendar days, except for shipments delivered from the Temu online store. The period of free storage of shipments delivered to Ukraine from the Temu online store, in branches, post offices and/or by courier delivery is 5 (five) calendar days, without the possibility of their further storage The first day of storage is the next calendar day after the arrival of the shipment at the Recipient's branch.

Storage

The service allows for a return of the parcel by request of the Sender. The return has to be ordered separately if the Sender does not have an agreement with Nova Poshta about automatic returns and if the Recipient refuses the parcel or is not picking up the parcel for over a week. If the recipient refuses the parcel or does not pick up the parcel, the Sender can order an additional service “Return” to a convenient address. Please note that if the delivery fees were not paid before shipping, the Sender will have to pay for the delivery and the return according to Nova Poshta tariffs.

Returns

The service envisages placement of the shipment in the most suitable type of packaging, that will ensure a secure transportation. The packaging is chosen from the available range of Nova Poshta Global company. The service is paid, apart from documents and small shipments of 1kg (inserted in branded packaging). We offer a vast range of packaging for parcels of up to 30 kg and above 30kg to guarantee the integrity of the contents of the parcel during transportation, storage and checks at customs.

Please note that customs duties are charged on all categories of goods, including gifts and warranty returns. Most countries have a duty free customs limit, so all international express shipments are subject to customs clearance, payment of taxes and duties by the Recipient. Delivering goods with value over 150 EUR to Ukraine from abroad, import customs duties are charged. They include: (1) import duty – 10% from the amount exceeding 150 EUR. (2) VAT – 20% from the amount exceeding 150 EUR including duties.

Customs clearance

The service allows for a change of address of an existing shipment within a locality, country or abroad. The fee for an address change is calculated according to the existing tariffs of Nova Poshta Global company. With the address change, a new route will be created for the shipment (the parcel will first be delivered to the original destination, and then be redirected), so the delivery time will increase. After delivering the redirected shipment, the recipient will receive an sms-notification about delivery.
